FILM

Helen made her start in the film industry as a Production Co-ordinator for DD Home Entertainment, overseeing film restoration, DVD authoring and producing extras for the company. She quickly outgrew this role and moved to Studio Canal, then Optimum Releasing, as a Junior Product Manager, eventually managing large-scale campaigns for films such as The Loop and Unknown as well as Home Entertainment campaigns for the prestigious Studio Ghibli. Helen had a particular passion for creating special editions, such as the Guillermo Del Toro pop-up boxset. Realising her potential and feel for genre Studio Canal made the unprecedented move of broadening her role to encompass the

dual disciplines of Marketing and Home Entertainment Acquisitions.

After a successful 5 year term at Studio Canal Helen transitioned to freelance to pursue a career in Development and Producing. Since becoming freelance in 2011 Helen sought a diverse range of experience working across film and TV development, film festival management and product management. A commercial voice with a strong creative vision and armed with myriad skills from bringing a project in on budget to taking a leadership position in a creative setting she has the ability to take a project from concept to fruition, the knowledge base to nurture a script to make a great film and the know-how to give a film a life beyond production.

These days Helen is focused on the creative side of the industry, and is open to opportunities in development only.
